Ciavolino Daniele was founded in 1950, by a long story of passion for the processing of vesuvian area pinecones. It’s a Granpa Daniele’s idea: he noticed an increasing demand of pine nuts by Neapolitan tourists, so he undertakes this activity that over years became an important national and international reality.

VESUVIUS PINE NUTS

Thousands of tourists visit Vesuvius, thanks to its unspoilt nature, its history and its majestic view on the Gulf of Naples. This quality is due to Pinus Pinea, a prevalent tree in Vesuvius’ flora. Pinus Pinea can be found mostly in mediterranean countries and in Portugal, but the variety of Vesuvius has always had a stronger fragrance and taste; since the beginning, our processing has always been respectful of the product, guaranteeing the integrity of its organoleptic properties, with the aim of offering a product with an excellent quality.

MEDITERRANEAN PINE NUTS

With this statement indicate the result of the Stone Pine. This type of pine cones is imported from the Mediterranean countries, it will be processed in our factory. They have a rich flavor and a resinous smell resembling pine, are characterized by a white ivory color.

PINE PAKISTAN

They are the fruit of Pinus gerardiana, typical pine of northern Pakistan. They have a strong flavor, are characterized by a strong aroma and a yellow ocher color.

PINE SIBIRICA AND KOREANENSIS

This category includes the fruits of two families of pine, Pinus Sibirica and Pinus Koraiensis, distinguishable for the different sizes. The flavor is mild and crisp and white opaque.
